Critics Consensus

Witlessly broad and utterly devoid of laughs, Vampires Suck represents a slight step forward for the Friedberg-Seltzer team.

Anna Smith metro.co.uk Mocking the vampire vogue like a child pulling pigtails (hard), this is playground humour, and the school is definitely gross-out. Rated: 1/5 Aug 24, 2018 Full Review Rafer Guzman Newsday It's almost as cynical as the actual Twilight, and not nearly as funny. Jun 3, 2013 Full Review Elizabeth Weitzman New York Daily News All but the most die-hard fans can agree that the Twilight movies are spoof-worthy. So it's too bad they don't get a worthy spoof. Rated: 2/5 Jun 3, 2013 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Vampires Suck sucks. Rated: 1.0/4.0 Sep 26, 2020 Full Review Randall King Winnipeg Free Press It's been two whole years since the team of Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer subjected us to one of its godawful parodies. Alas, the vacation is over. Rated: 1/5 Jul 25, 2014 Full Review Dennis King Tulsa World With the level of humor here running to flatulence jokes, groin kicks and high-school smart-aleck cracks, their movie does, indeed, (surely no other critic in the world will be this clever) SUCK! Marcelo C A Surprisingly Good Comedy! "Vampires Suck" is a hilarious parody that exceeds expectations and cleverly pokes fun at the Twilight franchise. What surprised me most was the unexpected similarity "Vampires Suck" shares with the original Twilight. Beneath the mockery, the film cleverly replicates the original's atmosphere and tone, making it a strangely affectionate parody, like Bella's facials expressions. This balance between ridicule and homage makes "Vampires Suck" a standout comedy. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/17/24 Full Review Audience Member It is worth watching at home. It has many funny moments. The other critics were way too harsh, I think. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/17/24 Full Review Audience Member One of only two movies, in 50 years, that I have walked out on. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/19/24 Full Review Audience Member absolutely hilarious Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/10/24 Full Review Samantha Jaira P Movie is a great parody! The humor is definitely an acquired taste and isn't for everyone but it's enjoyable if you like that kind of stuff. Truly wild and unexpected, loving all the references to the original movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review Alex C Don't care. I love any trash that has anything to do with Twilight. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
