It’s a valuable story, and it’s told with grace. Go to Full Review

A bracing, emotional but not excessively sentimental account of a regular woman’s resistance to fascism. Go to Full Review

Despite a misleadingly melodramatic trailer, the series is careful to emphasise the revealing or intimate moments between the terror, bravery and brutality. Go to Full Review

It's still sad, hard, and tense because of the events of the story itself. However, they decide to tell them in a more subtle and luminous way, implying that there were many people who did everything they could to save lives. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

An underappreciated series that deserves more attention. Well acted, well directed and I love that they focused on Miep's story Go to Full Review

Highlighting non-Jews in the Holocaust is a delicate matter, and A Small Light is coming out at a time in which Holocaust revisionism is on the rise...without the Jews in question, perhaps we would never have heard of Miep and Jan. Go to Full Review

Bonnie B @bon2bon May 9 So good. Could not wait to watch the next episode. Really gives you an idea of what it was like to live during these brutal times. Miep’s courage is inspiring. Anne Frank would be proud of her friend. See more Sophie M @Sophie1984 Mar 31 Beautiful! There have been alot of movies and TV series around this topic but this one was just beautifully written and portrayed, the acting was really superb!! See more Ksawier L @RT26801392 01/15/2025 It has a massive hit in the history See more Juliette G @RT37806595 12/06/2024 This series is excellent and is one of the best I have ever seen. I have watched it three times and was moved and engrossed each time. Two of my grandparents lost their families to the Holocaust and I resonate deeply with the subject matter. One thing I really appreciated about this particular series on the subject is that it was not overwhelmingly grim. The series does not white wash anything but they still manage to show the full spectrum of emotions including humor and joy in addition to the terror and tragedy. And it was inspiring to see the passion of Miep and Jan as part of the Dutch resistance. In addition, the acting and writing ate fabulous. This is truly film at its finest!! See more Tony P @T-dog94 05/06/2024 This was hand's down the best series of 2023! It had awesome writing, great performances by everyone, and not to mention a story even though it's very sad will keep you on the edge of your seats/chairs! See more A M @RT88458224 04/07/2024 Well done , the better side of humanity stepping up when most are unwilling to intervene & risk everything. Yes there are truly amazing people that often don't look for attention but are doing God's work. See more Read all reviews
