A chipper spin-off from the Inside Out assembly line, Dream Productions's combination of genuine sentiment and meta satire works a charm.

But if any corporate therapy is afoot, it isn’t immediately obvious in the finished product, which has the easy confidence of a relatively low-stakes experiment that immediately starts hitting bullseyes. Go to Full Review

A gloriously fun little addendum, Dream Productions makes a strong case that Inside Out is now Pixar’s best franchise. Go to Full Review

Created by Mike Jones, who wrote Pixar’s Soul and Luca, the four-parter is essentially a bang-on mockumentary about Hollywood. Go to Full Review

I never expected to be as affected by an animated franchise as I have been with both of the feature films in this franchise and now with Dream Productions as well. A fun series that will work for kids and adults alike. Go to Full Review

Dream Productions continues to effectively expand the Inside Out universe, which seems to know no bounds, given the fact that a preteen’s brain is so darn complicated. Go to Full Review

The "old guard vs. young upstart" dynamic is a very tried-and-true sitcom trope, but Paula's optimistic nature combined with Xeni's artsy hipster vibe makes it feel fresh and engaging. Go to Full Review

Jacob B Nov 10 You know, I think Dream Productions being only 4 episodes was probably for the better, even if it wasn't Pixar's original plan. Helps keep things more concise and to the point. This miniseries does mostly exist to compensate for a lack of short film with the Inside Out 2 Blu-ray as far as I'm concerned. This mockumentary miniseries was quite fun with the same reliable level of animation quality, funny gags, good characters who go through some decent development, amusing Hollywood parallels and applying more of the same imaginative approach to concepts we've come to expect from this IP. It’s not an absolute must-watch but it's still a really nice treat for Pixar fans that arguably does a better job than Marvel has at cramming in as much as possible in 4 episodes whilst still feeling like a complete narrative. Does make me curious about that Win or Lose show but I'm not in any real hurry to watch it for the time being. This Pixar's Inside Out interquel follows acclaimed director Paula Persimmon who teams with an overly confident daydream director to create the next big tween-dream hit for Riley at Dream Productions. This smart, inventive miniseries that dives into the chaotic "behind-the-scenes" of dream creation blends the whimsy of Inside Out with the mockumentary humor of shows like The Office. The premise is simple but brilliantly executed, packed with sharp wit and meta humor that keeps it fresh. At just four episodes, it is a bite-sized burst of creativity—no filler, all fun. See more Fernando G Jan 10 Dream production is documentary styled miniserie's. pretty cool at all, it just don't hit perfectly for kids. See more Read all reviews
