Andrew C @YourNextCritic 5d I really wanted to enjoy this show but it makes it so difficult. The second season was constantly side-lined by Luca dying every 5 minutes. The family mental health, the guilt tripping, the soft parenting and Jaz’s ex telling her how to live her life. Whilst I agree some could happen, it felt so forced for content to keep the show interesting that it bored me. See more Mike W @RT77622707 03/26/2025 I wanted to like this show and at times it has Queen of the South vibes down to them even using some of the same music in both shows but the writing is lazy and I found myself disliking alot of the main Characters. First of all Luca needs to either heal or die but either way im just done with the "I've got to Save Luka" plot as it's infuriating watching Thony screw over Arman time and again and betraying nearly every character that helps her multiple times! I absolutely dispise Garret and could make a case that he is most evil guy on the show, he also will betray and screw over anyone as well as break any and every law so long as it furthers his career or helps someone he likes. The idea that he gets to be "the good guy" just because he is an FBI agent is ridiculous. I was so happy he finally got shot at the end of season 2 after going "full cowboy out for revenge" the second half of the season once the informant he cheated on his wife with, that he even tipped the Feds off to as being way higher up on the crime cindicate food chain just so he could follow her more gets killed. Fi and her son are constantly making their situation worse by being overly emotional and making stupid decisions. Then her daughter's father who actually seems like a good dude begs and even threatens her with the ultimatum of leaving her if she brings their kids around Thony, but yet again everyone else must suffer for Luka who even after liver surgery and constant meds is deathly sick AGAIN and they steal equipment from the hospital and are reported leading to Fi getting deported. Its just such an annoying plot that's always running out of ideas so they just jump back to the kid being sick and when that's not an issue, they deport somebody and when that's not an issue the FBI bust somebody it's just lazy writing and a bunch of characters that are really hard to root for… It left me really just pulling for Armon who should've left Tony about 20 times and it's no wonder his wife is fed up with having to drop all of their dreams and goals Anytime the kids gets sick.
