There was a time when animation shows on television were meant strictly for children. But in the late 20th/early 21st century, all the rules went out the window with the arrival of racy, animated, but adult fare like "Family Guy," which showcased the writing talents of Alec Sulkin. Raised near Boston, Sulkin originally got involved in television as a writer for "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn." Sulkin joined up with "Family Guy" during its 2005 season, the show's fourth overall after being off the air for a few years. He quickly became an integral part of the team, writing and producing countless episodes of the program. For his work on "Family Guy," Sulkin has received several Emmy nominations, including two (in 2006 and 2008) for "Outstanding Animated Program (For Programming Less Than One Hour)" and another in 2009 for "Outstanding Comedy Series." Subsequently, Sulkin has been linked to other projects by the creator of "Family Guy," Seth MacFarlane, among them "Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy" and "The Cleveland Show."
