Born in London in 1987, Augustus Prew made his screen debut at age 13, when he was seen in the British boarding school drama "24Seven" (ITV, 2001-02). The next year he played a small role in "About a Boy" (2002), starring Hugh Grant, adapted from the novel by Nick Hornby. The call of the craft was irresistible, and Prew embraced it, making guest appearances on "MI-5" (BBC One, 2002-2011) and "The Bill" (ITV, 1984-2010). In 2007, he landed his first recurring role on "The Time of Your Life" (ITV, 2007), about a woman who learns to navigate life after being in a coma for 18 years. In "The Secret of Moonacre" (2008), Prew had his first 'leading man' role, playing the ne'er do well son of the wicked antagonist who eventually turned against his father and helped the story's heroine save the day. The film gave him greater exposure and in 2010, he appeared in major roles in two more features, "The Kid" (2010), about the tumultuous life of crime writer Kevin Lewis, and "Charlie St. Cloud" (2010), a coming of age story starring Zac Efron. A six-episode arc on "The Borgias" (Showtime, 2011-2013) in 2012 was followed in 2014 by two series recurring roles on the mini-series "Klondike" (Discovery, 2014) and "The Village" (BBC One 2013-2014). In 2016 it was announced that he would be a series regular on "Pure Genius" (CBS, 2016-) the medical drama created by Jason Katims.
