Australian actress Cleopatra Coleman first caught global attention in "Step Up: Revolution" (2012) before landing regular roles in "The Last Man on Earth" (Fox, 2015-) and "White Famous" (Showtime, 2017-). Born in Wentworth Falls, Sydney in 1987 to a Jamaican mother and Scottish-Australian father, Coleman initially pursued a career as a dancer, performing in the likes of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," "Dancing with the Stars" (Seven Network, 2004-2015) and "The Footy Show" (Nine Network, 1994-). She switched her focus to acting when she was cast as strong-minded spaceship crew member Zandie Brokow in kids' sci-fi "Silversun" (Seven Network, 2004). A year later she guested on another children's show, basketball-themed "Holly's Heroes" (Nine Network, 2005), and police drama "Blue Heelers" (Seven Network, 1994-2006), and appeared as college student Alys in her first US production, the low-budget creature feature, "Attack of the Sabretooth" (2005). Coleman then landed the recurring roles of Emma Hellman in supergenius kids drama "Wicked Science" (Network Ten, 2004-06), Boyd's brief love interest Glenn Forrest in soap opera institution "Neighbours" (Network Ten, 1985-) and Cosma in children's fantasy "The Elephant Princess" (Network Ten, 2008-2011). Following one-off appearances as a sassy English waitress and badly beaten drug mule in crime dramas "City Homicide" (Seven Network, 2007-2011) and "Rush" (Network Ten, 2008-2011) respectively, Coleman worked with her father on "Trains" (2011), an alternate reality short film she also starred in. She then moved to Los Angeles where she booked her first Hollywood role, DJ Penelope, in the fourth instalment of the dance movie franchise, "Step Up: Revolution" (2012). After playing PTSD patient Megan in the psychological horror "Fear Clinic" (2015), Coleman joined the cast of post-apocalyptic sitcom "The Last Man on Earth" (Fox, 2015-) as Erica, a convicted armed robber who later gives birth to the new world's first born. During her spell on the show, Coleman also guested on "Comedy Bang! Bang!" (IFC, 2012-16) and "Better Things" (FX, 2016-), played Sahara in crime comedy "Take the 10" (2017) and bagged the part of Jay Pharoah's songwriter ex-girlfriend in "White Famous" (Showtime, 2017-), a comedy drama loosely based on producer Jamie Foxx's life.
