Melchior started her career in 2014 with several Portuguese film and television productions, including "Ouro Verde" (2017), "A Herdeira" (2018), "The Black Book" (2018) and "Parque Mayer" (2018). She also provided the Portuguese voice for Gwen Stacy in Sony Pictures Animation's "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" (2018). In August 2021, Melchior appeared in her first English-language theatrical film, "The Suicide Squad." In March 2022, she starred in "Fast X" (2023). In June 2022, she announced that she would be in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" (2023). She is the first Portuguese actress to appear in an MCU film. In August 2022, Daniela Melchior was cast in "Road House."
