      David Wilmot was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. Wilmot began his acting career appearing in various films, such as "The Field" (1990), the Liam Neeson historical romance "Michael Collins" (1996) and "The Devil's Own" (1997) with Harrison Ford. He also appeared in the Peter McDonald comedy "I Went Down" (1998), the crime drama "The General" (1998) with Brendan Gleeson and the crime picture "Flick" (2000) with David Murray. He kept working in film throughout the early 2000s, starring in the comedy "Rat" (2001) with Imelda Staunton, the dramedy "Intermission" (2004) with Cillian Murphy and the Pierce Brosnan romantic comedy "Laws of Attraction" (2004). He also appeared in "King Arthur" (2004). More recently, he continued to act in the Brendan Gleeson action flick "The Guard" (2011), "Anna Karenina" (2012) with Keira Knightley and the Colm Meaney drama "Parked" (2012). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Shadow Dancer" (2013) with Clive Owen. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Vikings" (History, 2012-). Wilmot most recently acted in "'71" (2015) with Jack O'Connell.
