Eric Radomski

Eric Radomski, an Emmy award-winning animation director and producer, began his career in the '80s as an apprentice animator. After two years working in a small commercial studio based in Cleveland, Ohio, he moved west to take a job with Rick Reinert Pictures, where he would eventually become an assistant director. In the '90s, he was working as a background artist on "Tiny Toons Adventures," when word came that a "Batman" animated series was in the works. Radomski applied and was asked to create a sample short alongside character animator Bruce Timm. Their collaboration garnered them jobs as producers, and cemented the look of the show. Their style broke from the animation convention of dark colors on white paper, and instead light colors were applied to dark paper for the show's backgrounds. In 1993, he earned his first Emmy for his involvement in the episode "Robin's Reckoning - Part 1." From there he co-directed the Annie-nominated animated feature "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm," then directed the superhero comedy "Freakazoid!," which earned him his second Emmy in 1997. The next year, he moved from kid-friendly daytime animation to cable television's late night with the hugely popular HBO animated series, "Spawn," which earned him his third Emmy. In 2002, he served as the additional animation supervisor on the film "The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys." Since then he's gone on to produce the action-packed animated adventure series "Shaolin Showdown," and the mystery cartoon show "Shaggy & Scooby-Doo: Get a Clue!"
