Eva Noblezada
Eva Noblezada first caught major attention when she was cast in the leading role of Kim in the West End revival of the popular musical "Miss Saigon." Born in San Diego, California in 1996 to parents of Filipino-American and Mexican-American descent, Noblezada was a singer practically from the time she could speak. Her aunt, actress Annette Claud, took Noblezada to see her first Broadway musical when she was a small child, and it was then that she first set the goal of becoming a Broadway star herself one day. Noblezada's family moved to North Carolina in time for her to attend Northwest School for the Arts, and she spent her formative years honing her skills as a musical theater performer. It was while she was performing as a finalist in the 2013 National High School Musical Theatre Awards that Noblezada was noticed by a casting director, who arranged for the young performer to audition for lead in "Miss Saigon." Noblezada won the role and began starring in the West End production the following year. After three years, the production moved to Broadway and Noblezada moved with it, earning tremendous praise for her acting and for her powerful voice. She would go on to star in a different Broadway musical, "Hadestown," before switching her focus to film, starring in the drama "Yellow Rose" (2019).
