Johnny Simmons
Johnny Simmons was raised in Dallas, but relocated to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career after graduating from high school. His move paid off quite quickly; with only one other role in a video short under his belt, he landed the lead in "My Ambition," a 2006 short film about a teenager obsessed with vampires. He appeared in his first television role that same year, in the crime drama "Numbers." In 2007 he landed his next big role playing Dylan Baxter, son of the title character in the 2007 comedy "Evan Almighty," a sequel to the hit film "Bruce Almighty." The movie didn't fare as well as its predecessor, but, for Baxter, it proved to be his breakout part. He went on from there to appear in notable roles in the 2009 children's comedy "Hotel for Dogs," the horror comedy "Jennifer's Body," and the 2010 oddball action/romance film "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World." In 2011, he appeared in the dramatic TV movie "Cinema Verite," starring Tim Robbins and Diane Lane, and was later featured in the popular big-screen reboot of the cop show "21 Jump Street," as well as the coming-of-age film "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," starring his girlfriend, Emma Watson.
