Jon Sewell

Known to many as Ronnie on the series "Still the King" (CMT, 2016-), Jon Sewell first discovered his love of acting under perilous circumstances. Born and raised in Nashville, Sewell was on this way to the opening night performance of his first school play when he was in a fairly serious car accident. Despite sustaining minor injuries, Sewell couldn't be dissuaded from making it to the show and following through with the performance, cementing his love of acting for life. He would eventually drop out of school and earn his high school diploma via GED, at which point Sewell embarked on an impressive collegiate career, earning a BA from the University of Memphis and a master's from Vanderbilt. He even spent summers in Brazil and Quebec as part of his intense graduate school language immersion courses. Sewell also spent eight years working as a Union Carpenter in Nashville before a few offers from creative friends drew him back to his first love of acting. After being offered the chance to appear in the drama "Holy Land" (2010) and the comedy "Super Zeroes" (2012), Sewell joined the cast of "Still the King" in 2016 and finally became a full time actor.
