Marilyn Castonguay was a French-Canadian actress known for her work in such films as "Miraculum" (2014) and "L'ange gardien" (2014). A graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, Castonguay landed her first major role in the drama "L'affaire Dumont" (2012). Her role in the film, about a grocery store delivery boy accused of a sex crime, earned Castonguay a Best Actress nomination at the 2013 Genie Awards, the Canadian equivalent of the Oscars. She next appeared in director Daniel Roby's biopic on the strongest man in the world at the turn of the 20th Century, "Louis Cyr" (2013). The success of that film raised Castonguay's profile even higher, and in 2014, her roles in "Miraculum," an ensemble drama about a world where miracles are common, and "L'ange gardien," a drama about a night security guard who develops a relationship with the woman who robbed the building he's watching, cemented Castonguay's status as a star on the rise.
