Robert Dorning
Robert Dorning was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Dorning landed roles in various films, including the adaptation "Die! Die! My Darling!" (1965) with Tallulah Bankhead, "Cul-de-Sac" (1966) and the comedy "Salt and Pepper" (1968) with Sammy Davis Jr.. He also appeared in the Michael Caine spy picture "The Black Windmill" (1974). He continued to act in productions like the Robin Askwith comedy "Confessions of a Pop Performer" (1975), "I'm Not Feeling Myself Tonight" (1975) with Barry Andrews and "Carry on Emmannuelle" (1978). He also appeared in "The Human Factor" (1980) with Nicol Williamson. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Evil Under the Sun" (1982) with Peter Ustinov, the romance "Mona Lisa" (1986) with Bob Hoskins and the Walter Matthau comedic adventure "Pirates" (1986). Dorning was most recently credited in the drama "The Red Shoes" (1993) with Anton Walbrook. Dorning passed away in February 1989 at the age of 75.
