Toby Regbo rose to fame playing disaffected teenagers in the likes of "Mr. Nobody" (2009), "Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You" (2011) and "uwantme2killhim" (2013) before turning romantic lead as the dashing monarch Francis II in historical drama "Reign" (The CW, 2013-). Born in Hammersmith, London in 1991, Regbo first began performing in school plays and after joining the Young Blood Theatre Company, travelled to India where he played a young soldier in military epic "Sharpe's Challenge" (ITV, 2006). In 2007, he appeared as American teen Chad Turner in an episode of children's spy adventure "M.I. High" (CBBC, 2007-2014), and two years later made his big-screen debut as the 15-year-old version of Jared Leto's last mortal on Earth in the ambitious sci-fi drama "Mr. Nobody" (2009). Regbo's youthful presence was also utilized in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," (2010) where he portrayed Albus Dumbledore as a teenager, and after playing Romola Garai's grandnephew, Michael Walton, in Stephen Poliakoff's World War II thriller "Glorious 39" (2009), he then appeared as her brother, Samuel Cope, in the adaptation of David Nicholls' bittersweet love story "One Day" (2011). Later that year, he landed his first lead role as the sexually-confused high school senior James Sveck in the young adult drama "Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You" (2011), before putting his own stamp on the much-loved central character of Jim Hawkins in the swashbuckling "Treasure Island" (Sky1, 2012). Following a supporting role as scholarship pupil Harry in gritty crime miniseries "The Town" (ITV, 2012), Regbo starred as John, a highly disturbed teen who plots his own murder via the murky world of online chatrooms, in the dramatization of a bizarre real-life case, "uwantme2killhim" (2013). Regbo then made his first foray into American TV when he was cast as Francis II, the charming Prince who then becomes King of France aged just 15, in the historical fiction drama "Reign" (The CW, 2013-).
