      Virgil Frye was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Frye started his acting career landing roles in such films as the horror flick "Queen of Blood" (1966) with John Saxon, "The Jesus Trip" (1971) with Elizabeth "Tippy" Walker and "Howzer" (1972). He also appeared in the action picture "The Limit" (1972) with Yaphet Kotto and "Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw" (1976) with Marjoe Gortner. He kept working in film throughout the seventies and the eighties, starring in the Sam Bottoms comedy "Up From the Depths" (1979), the "Dr. Heckyl & Mr. Hype" (1980) film Oliver Reed and the drama "Borderline" (1980) with Charles Bronson. He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "The Postman Always Rings Twice" (1981) with Jack Nicholson. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Body Beat" (1988) with Julie Newmar, the Adam Ant comedy "Trust Me" (1989) and the Sally Kellerman action flick "The Secret of the Ice Caves" (1990). He also appeared in "Pacific Palisades" (1990) and the Don Johnson crime thriller "The Hot Spot" (1990). Frye most recently appeared in "Killer Flick" (The Movie Channel, 1999-2000).
