Blake- N @PBSAniDom Apr 13 Collateral Damage is easily my least favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger film. Despite having a potentially interesting premise, the movie falls flat due to its slow pacing, weak script, and lack of engaging action. Arnold has delivered many memorable roles, but here he feels underutilized and stuck in a story that never fully comes together. The emotional core doesn’t hit as intended, and the film struggles to build any real tension or excitement. The action scenes are surprisingly dull compared to what you’d expect, and the overall execution feels forgettable. It lacks the energy and charisma that usually make his films enjoyable. Overall, it’s a disappointing and uninspired action movie that fails to leave any impact. I’d rate it a 1/10. See more David S. @baxter667 Dec 17 Not as terrible as you would think. Yes, it's a formulaic film, but it's still pretty good!! It does have elements of the time it was made, but it's also a decent film with a decent story and one of the last really great films that Arnold did. I enjoyed it, and it's still a great action film!!! See more Cork B @RT87142816 Nov 29 Last gasp of Arnold's 80s Action movies, and it isn't good. Eyerollingly thin plot with horrible twists. Add to that, Arnold tries to do a more nuanced conflicted role, and when the role calls for a 0.7, Arnold's face kinda contorts before he spits out the inevitable 0 or 1. Arnold was meant to be a brick to smash things, and those are his best roles. This should have had a different lead cast. And John Leguizamo was wasted here. Literally as well :) It wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen - better than just about any Scott Adkins flick, but still a very poor outing for Arnold. P @Archives1987 Oct 14 This movie is truly what it is titled according to being a Hollywood movie. I saw this movie at the time of its release and it is clearly not my favorite. The plot and character development could have been a lot better than what is shown in this movie. For the time and era that this movie came out- you can tell that Arnold Schwarzenegger was pretty much wrapping up his career at the time before becoming the Governor of California. I can't really recommend this movie because of the fact that there was a lot about it that would be too much to mention in this review that would not make it worth seeing. 1.5 out of 5 stars- this movie truly is what its title is. Arnies wife and kid are killed by terrorists, Arnie befriends the terrorists deaf child, kills the terrorists and then in the closing scene gets a big hug from that same child.
