Despite its timely subject matter, Collateral Damage is an unexceptional and formulaic action thriller.

Nell Minow Common Sense Media Schwarzenegger in very violent vigilante film. Rated: 3/5 Dec 22, 2010 Full Review Empire Magazine The plot is laughably bad, and the action not much better. Rated: 1/5 Dec 30, 2006 Full Review Time Out The film's less knee-jerk than it could have been. Feb 9, 2006 Full Review Steve Crum Crum on Showbiz Just use brawn over brain in accepting the logical order of events in this film. Rated: D Jul 17, 2022 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins The subject matter is timely and relevant, but the attention to action over sincerity dulls the potency of the themes - as any shoot-'em-up Schwarzenegger movie should. Rated: 4/10 Sep 29, 2020 Full Review Rob Nelson City Pages, Minneapolis/St. Paul Straining every muscle not to offend, Collateral Damage counts basic coherence among its own casualties. But it's crystal clear on one point: Taking mercy on the "enemy," women and children included, is for wimps. Aug 21, 2009 Full Review Read all reviews

Aaron B Collateral Damage doesn't deserve the abysmal review scores it has. I mean... sub 50% makes sense. But not this bad. It's a decent thriller, despite a few weaknesses... like Schwarzenegger's acting and enunciation, a few weak supporting actors, and some less than stellar effects shots. But these are all weaknesses people are willing to overlook in other Schwarzenegger films, so I'm left trying to guess why the hate? Maybe people weren't in the mood for terrorists blowing up buildings 5 months after 911? Or maybe others didn't like the fact that the terrorists were Columbians (who have never carried out an attack on U.S. soil) instead of Islamists? Maybe people wanted 1980s Arnold, while he was now in his 50's and trying to figure out what kind of movies he could still pull off... something a little less superhuman... a thriller that could have worked with any number of actors. Andy Davis never captured the magic of The Fugitive before or since, but he's a decent director. So I'm unapologetically going with 2.5 stars. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/15/25 Full Review thiago s Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são mais ou menos, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/26/25 Full Review Joshua H. Very boring ..didn’t care for it at all Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/21/25 Full Review Shane O Starts strong and you think you will be on an action packed ride. But the story starts to meander. By the time the plot twist happens you have lost interest because the character development is lousy . Only reason to watch it is arnie but it a very weak performance from him . No arnie magic Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/08/25 Full Review Everardo C Aunque la película tiene una temática que puede resultar sensible, los escenarios y la trama hacen de esta una película de acción a la que vale la pena darle la oportunidad Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/26/25 Full Review Joe D This was a great movie. The protagonist's (Arnold Schwarzenegger) anguish and frustration is real and raw. When no one else can or will help, he does what is needed to be done while the law sits on its hands.
