Ariana Romero Refinery29 While the teen's gender identity is treated as only part of her story, her journey as a young trans woman throwing a quinceanera does give us the kind of perspective the world is sorely lacking. Dec 21, 2017 Full Review Kayla Cobb Decider At its core, this is a documentary series about five girls on the path to adulthood. There are few stories more charming or relatable than that. Dec 21, 2017 Full Review Arianna Davis Refinery29 Zoey's story is a reminder that in the communities where family and tradition rule, it might take more time (and more work!) to catch up in being accepting or progressive. Zoey's story, however, is proof that it can happen. Dec 21, 2017 Full Review Sarah Jasmine Montgomery The Daily Dot The series is a beautiful tribute to the relationships that help usher young people into the next stage of their life. The best moments in the show are heartfelt conversations with a mother, madrina, mentor, or friend. Rated: 3.5/5 Dec 21, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I think that a story about a transgender parent raising a transgender child and having them get a sec change before they are 8 or 9 is child abuse at its worst. A child doesn't know who they truly are until they are older. To agree to give your child a sex change before they have experienced 15 years of Life is you pushing your views of the world and choice on them. I am a man who was a woman and I knew who I really was when i was young. I later got a sex change when i was an adult and know Where in my mind have I thought, hey I wish I had done this when I was 8 years old. I missed out on so much. I am a Latin x as well so there you go. I love my parents for telling me to wait until I truly knew because doing something like this was very life changing and shouldnt be decided when I was young. I love that they respected me and my decision and supported me. But what I love the most is that they told me to wait. What if I made the sex change when i was young and I realized I didn't really want it later. I think as transgender parents you pushed your wants and views on your child. You thought about when you were young and probably wished you had gotten a sex change at a young age so you had your child do it. Very irresponsible of you especially since your child obviously knew you were transr and saw your trans friends while they were young and growing up. You ever heard of monkey see. Monkey do. I'm done.c Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Lo amé! Algo fresco, definitivamente de mis favoritas! ❤️ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
