Tommy Mottola

Tommy Mottola was born in the Bronx, NY. After graduating from high school, Mottola pursued a music career with the cover band The Exotics. When that didn't pan out, he began working at Chappell Publishing. He made contact with multiple artists and helped them land record deals. In 1988, he replaced Walter Yetnikoff as Chairman CEO of Sony Music. It was under Mattola's watch as CEO that Sony Music expanded globally. He was there until early 2003 when he developed an entertainment company that included television production, fashion and recording music. Mottola even developed a musical that was on Broadway from 2016 until 2018 and was nominated for a Tony Award in 2017. In 2021, Mottola and others formed the entertainment and media company NTERTAIN. Most recently, Mottola executive produced "Los Montaners" (Disney+, 2022).
