Learning that his dashing twin brother, Allan, is coming to town, bored married man Adam Trevelyan (Lew Cody) decides on a whim to impersonate his rakish sibling and romance the alluring but mercenary-minded Gwen de Vere (Gwen Lee). Adam's faithful wife, Evelyn (Aileen Pringle), learns about her husband's deception when Allan arrives, but when an emboldened Adam returns home to his wife, she finds herself unable to distinguish which brother is which in a series of farcical misunderstandings.
