Audience Member This film is HORRIBLE. The first half panders to their relationships with each other and their families. When it finally starts to show "action", the story they bring is disjointed and random. In the midst of the mission, one character continuously has delusions without ANY fade/dissolve transition to signal the issue. VERY amateurish acting and photography. A COMPLETE waste of my time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is so bad I made a rotten tomatoes account just to rate it. It took me halfway through the movie to realize it was a film about actual fighting instead of a woman drama. What was with the sex tape twins? Then all of a sudden this guy starts seeing a random girl from his childhood he literally doesn't remember watching die from cancer while holding his hand?! How fucked is your childhood that a memory of holding your friends hand while they die is overshadowed? And did they die in the driveway? Was that his experience? Hers? Does Rusty actually not die? I feel bad for all the servicemen to whom this movie is dedicated, they deserve better. I think the fact that this film could have been better with all the transcendent flying light and random cancer girl parts added is what makes it worse. If they had set out to make a film about navy seals, it has huge potential. That story line was great once it got actually started. The acting wasn't terrible and the story had so much potential that was overshadowed by things that don't make sense and feel unnecessary. Let the rescue be the story, not a flashing ball of light. I feel let down by what could have been. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Just awful. Not even enough gratuitous violence to make up for how bad it was. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member This small indie film is all about its BIG MESSAGE of Heroism & Sacrifice! If you understand that, you will "get the movie" and appreciate it, despite its small-budget limitations. I gave the movie "5-Stars" because it has a lot to offer IF you pay close attention, including the story's dose of raw WAR reality: in this movie, the viewer cannot escape from the brutal totality of human sacrifice as shown on the screen- the soldiers that you get to know, DIE... none able to walk away like the "movie star" usually does in most war films. In this movie, YOU simply cannot emotionally escape the lives that are lost!!! In addition, the culmination of the 6 (or is it 7) "nightmare" scenes is worth the journey alone in this movie, but you must pay full attention along the way... what is real? ... and what is a PTSD nightmare? Finally, the movie's ultimate ending cleverly affords you your very own interpretation. NOTE: Many of the actors in this small film have gone on to work on huge Hollywood projects with big-name, top-tier actors and directors. For instance, one actor had already worked opposite Adam Sandler in ANGER MANAGEMENT (2003), and one young actress next went on to work with director Michael Bay in 6 UNDERGROUND (2019). Another actor went on to star as "Artik" in ARTIK (2019). Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Most American movie Ive seen in a long time. I have not served but many family and friends have. Im 23 and havent seen such a tear jerker since Ol' Yeller. This is a must watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Greg M As if the film didn't have enough working against it, it looks like nobody coached the cast on things like recoil in firearms. If you're going to plop some crap CGI over every gun in the movie you should at least make it look like it has some impact on the shooters. There's much more to complain about, but I have no energy left to do it. I don't know who to suggest this movie to. Maybe the mystery science theater 3000 crew?
