Colin Bennett The Age (Australia) I counted two funny lines and as many funny bits of business, thanks to Mr. Sellers' timing of the ad lib. That leaves an awful lot of waiting. Mar 3, 2022 Full Review Variety Staff Variety A clever, sophisticated and charming farce. Jan 5, 2022 Full Review Tom Milne Time Out A sourly unfunny comedy. Feb 9, 2006 Full Review Richard Schickel LIFE The contraption runs well enough to serve its purpose, which is to provide us with a lengthy excursion through the Sellers' market. It is a trip worth taking. Jan 5, 2022 Full Review TV Guide Staff TV Guide A hodge-podge that's only made bearable by Sellers' cavorting. Mar 26, 2009 Full Review Tony Mastroianni Cleveland Press Light and amusing, though a trifle uneven. Nov 20, 2003 Full Review Read all reviews

Tom M Another Sellers silly comedy. It's sometimes seems that he plays the same character in all his movies. Ekland is lovely and quite capaple as the temptress who can get whatever she wants from men. Remaining cast is very good. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/27/20 Full Review Audience Member I enjoy watching this film. Wish it would be restored and released in the US on DVD at least. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member good vehicle 4 Sellers! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member For Peter Sellers fans especially, this "comedic" adventure places Sellers as a singing man. He looks for work only to find himself on a job seeking the hand of a lady (who, incidently, turned out to be his real wife in reality). [img][/img] The Bobo is a 1967 British comedy film starring Peter Sellers and co-starring his then-wife Britt Ekland. Based on the 1959 novel Olimpia by Burt Cole, also known as Thomas Dixon, Sellers is featured as the would-be singing matador, Juan Bautista. [img][/img] NOTES: 1 Bobo: noun (plural Bobos) a person having both the values of the counterculture of the 1960s and the materialism of the 1980s; a bourgeois Bohemian. [img][/img] Britt Eckland 2 The plot centers around Juan's (Sellers) attempts to woo s woman and famously includes Sellers covered in blue dye as the "Blue Matador." That Sellers was ever married to Britt Ekland is amazing to me. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member When Britt Ekland rubs herself against, lies on top of ,& caresses the Maserati,(I can relate to that)even I fell in Love with Her Supreme Shallowness a bit! This one is great Stylish, Silly Fun.Britt Ekland as Olimpia The Relentless Gold Digging Flirt of Barcelona, who Toy's with Men for the things they can give her, but she has no intention of giving anything of herself back, & would rather resort to Black Mail to get everything she wants.Peter Sellers plays Juan,a bumbling,Cheese Sandwich eating, Inept Matador who will earn a Coveted Singing Job if he can seduce her.In this Three day Seduction where he misleads her to thinking she's having a Rendezvous with a Count, there is a very funny dance scene where he is on his knees with his Matador Cape , hysterical. This Women's Wrath will leave him Died Blue! Very Funny in the "Peter Sellers Style" .It must have been fun to be him, a career based on Neurotic Genius Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
