Colin Bennett The Age (Australia) I counted two funny lines and as many funny bits of business, thanks to Mr. Sellers' timing of the ad lib. That leaves an awful lot of waiting. Mar 3, 2022 Full Review Variety Staff Variety A clever, sophisticated and charming farce. Jan 5, 2022 Full Review Tom Milne Time Out A sourly unfunny comedy. Feb 9, 2006 Full Review Richard Schickel LIFE The contraption runs well enough to serve its purpose, which is to provide us with a lengthy excursion through the Sellers' market. It is a trip worth taking. Jan 5, 2022 Full Review TV Guide Staff TV Guide A hodge-podge that's only made bearable by Sellers' cavorting. Mar 26, 2009 Full Review Tony Mastroianni Cleveland Press Light and amusing, though a trifle uneven. Nov 20, 2003 Full Review Read all reviews

Drew S I don't know what I liked the most, the beautiful Britt Ekland or the classic Maserati she lands blackmailing the owner of the dealership? It's nice to dream... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/03/24 Full Review Tom M Another Sellers silly comedy. It's sometimes seems that he plays the same character in all his movies. Ekland is lovely and quite capaple as the temptress who can get whatever she wants from men. Remaining cast is very good. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/27/20 Full Review Audience Member I enjoy watching this film. Wish it would be restored and released in the US on DVD at least. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member good vehicle 4 Sellers! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member For Peter Sellers fans especially, this "comedic" adventure places Sellers as a singing man. He looks for work only to find himself on a job seeking the hand of a lady (who, incidently, turned out to be his real wife in reality). Based on the 1959 novel Olimpia by Burt Cole, also known as Thomas Dixon, Sellers is featured as the would-be singing matador, Juan Bautista. That Sellers was ever married to Britt Ekland is amazing to me. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
