I thought it was very funny generally, especially with Michael Caine always drawing the short straw because of his spitting image character and his "tastes" (!) where Roger Moore's character often was the opposite and landed on his feet.
Nice scenery in the film too. I think a lot of people who enjoy older British comedy will or would have liked this.
My only gripe with it was with one "stunt" scene which I'll leave for the rest of you to guess if you watch it or have watched it.

This film is straight up fantastic. There's so much I could say, but I don't want to give a way too much. In a word, it's perfect. Micheal Caine and Roger Moore shine brighter than the Sun in a classic double-act for the ages, replete with in incredible supporting cast. Look out for Lee Patterson, in his final film role, as he brings such a magnetic elan to the fore that your entire life will be changed forever. In addition to its stellar cast, the film shines with Winner's superb direction, that oscillates delicately from artistic and "off-the-wall," to focused and svelte when it needs to. The writing, too, is truly divine. You'll be quoting: "So it should," "Money, money," "Hey, Heeey," "This is absolutely unbelievable," "Let's wash our hands,"A very fair offer," What's with this Aspen experience,"I never should have listened to you, you're a foreigner," and much, much more. And I, as of now, haven't even gotten round to mentioning the soundtrack. Not only does it fit this movie, it would work with any film, as it is perfect.

I found this camp and delightful. I may be a bit biased, as Roger Moore was my 1st Crush, when I was a girl, in his James Bond roles. Add Michael Caine to the mix & you have a perfect British cast mix of sophisticated gentleman. What's not to love?

this starts out an interesting premise of 2 con men looking exactly like 2 scientist who have created nuclear fusion (yeah only in film hey!). So its got roger moore and micheal cane surely a great combination.....for a while at least. About half way through the heist aspect of this film (which was the more interesting part of this) goes all james bond and turns into a spy flick were the scientists are actually baddies trying to sell there idea to the hightest bidder. this is were it goes a bit bizzare and very convulted as scientist caine and con man caine and there partners keep bumping into each other and gets to the stage were the scientists are trying to kill them. so role reversal all the way! The problem here is its far to convaluted with no knowledge of whos who it takes the joy out of it, that and it aint actually that funny! Theres far to many sub plot to do with other characters to! Sure its a giggle or to but with these 2 on board i expected more. Fun enough but nothing mind blowing (unless you count trying to figure out the plot!)

Hmmmm. I'm trying to find something positive to say about this movie and it's a struggle. The bare bones of a good idea are here but, in the hands of Michael Winner, this comes across as a poor Made-For-TV type of film that lurches from plot point to plot point and gets more confusing as it does so. The doppleganger cliche is still a strong one but you need to actors who can do convincing performances that are significantly different from their usual performance. As much as Michael Caine and Roger Moore are both no stranger to comedy (and, indeed, both have proved to be good actors when the role and the film stretches them), they always essentially play themselves. Trying to play a convincing double, by adopting an American accent (Caine, who at least has digs made all the time at him for it being awful) and a Cockney accent (Moore, who veers from London to Australia and everywhere inbetween for his accent), isn't going to cut the mustard. The supporting cast are all woefully without talent, with Roger Moore's daughter wandering around looking like she wonders why she even took the job, and the atrocious '80s musical score jars terribly. It's obvious Michael Winner (the director - and I use that word very unwisely) signed his two friends up without showing them a script. Poor comedy that wastes the premise and the two leads.
