Paula O Horrible sequel to a horrible movie. Again, cliche storytelling and entirely preventable hijinks. The characters are one-dimensional and the kid brother wreaks havoc wherever he goes, but not in an enjoyable way. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/04/20 Full Review s r Schmaltzy and over the top. Puts a smile on your face though. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Inoffensive sequel with some small time bickering between songs to provide the strife before the inevitable happy ending. Feel-good sound-stage romance. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Romantic story with great humour and some magical musical performances. Set during an innocent period of time with family values and societal standards that have long since disappeared this is an enjoyable carefree film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member a really cute story. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This is the second of two movies about the same characters. Doris Day and Gordon MacRae play young newlyweds who are separated by WWI in this turn of the century inspired by the stories of Booth Tarkington. The story is told from her point of view and her home life with her mother, father and bratty brother are central to the film. Of the family members, the most memorable is Billy Gray ("Bud" from FATHER KNOWS BEST), as he is a terrible little brat that is a lot like Dennis the Menace and the Problem Child all rolled up into one. While this film is so similar to the first that you might just mix them up in your mind after you see them, the movies are so pleasant and fun that you really don't mind. A wonderful romantic slice of life movie with a wonderful blend of comedy and heart. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
