Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed While it is a flinging piece of swill, "Death Racers" has a lot of potential to be great and that greatness shines through once or twice through the ninety minute tedium... Rated: 2/4 Sep 13, 2008 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Not good, and the fact that ICP said it's bad themselves says a lot. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I've never really listened to ICP; mostly know of them as an absurd cultural icon. However, their movie Big Money Rustlas was hilarious and since I've been on a Death Race 2000 kick lately, I was hoping this would be an amusing viewing. I hoped wrong. Death Racers is for ICP faithful only. Storyline-wise it's actually closer to the remake--a prison race for freedom. However here, there is all the violence you'd expect from Death Race 2000. Apparently even ICP was like, "Running over innocent citizens? Hell no, man." Which maybe shouldn't be unexpected. This--and everything else ICP does--feels like little more than a fantasy fulfillment. (Note: Wikipedia has informed that while ICP participated in this, the weren't the visioneers behind it. Which, in hindsight, makes a whole lotta sense.) Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member In this grim vision of the future where brutality is a virtue and mercy will cost you your life, contestants participate in a cross-country Death Race where killing is how you win the game. stars Violent J, Shaggy 2 Dope, Raven, Jason Ellefson, Robert Pike Daniel, Stephen Blackehart, Dean Kreyling, Anya Benton, Caroline Attwood, Jennifer Elizabeth Keith, Therese, Krystle Connor and Mark Hengst. directed by Roy Knyrim. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member In a grim future where a terrorist plans to poison the entire planet's water supply, the local Governor enlists the aid of some of the worse criminals by offering them the chance of freedom if they can save the day. Here we have a low budget SF romp that tries so hard to be more than the sum of it's parts. The story is very thin and has been told before in many different guises. The acting is a as wooden as you would expect, but you have to praise the Director, as there isn't that many people that would even consider letting ex-ECW wrestler Raven and underground horror-core legends Insane Clown Posse on the set, let alone giving them all starring roles! The production values are a mixed bag, as the set locations are minimal as the entire movie looks like it was shot in an abandoned factory complex that has had some fake signs put on the walls for effect. But, the CGI and physical special effects shots are all quite well handled and there are plenty of squished bodies and decapitations to keep any gore-hound happy. In the end, this is really is not a particularly good movie (not even by low budget, direct to DVD standards), but you have to give it points for the pure stupidity and cheesiness of the entire thing and the inspired casting choices. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A true piece of shit but what else would anyone expect from anything involved with the Insane Clown Posse? Ok how about this Reed...do you want to know how good of a friend I am? How about all of their garbage albums, movies and whatever that I have put up to for years from you...years..I mean you always have these little stories to set up the song, like I even care but I think even you have to admit that they should stick to rapping and tossing Faygo instead of making garbage. This sucks, that Bowling Balls sucked, and Big Money Hustlas sucked too..What I will give you credit for Reed is that these guys are funny in terms of interviews and all of their hype..So if they are going to have movies they should just interview people because their stories and everything about them associated with a movie sucks Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie Became Crazy At All!!
