Namrata Joshi Outlook Maybe no one really sees anything in a Bhai film. It is just a mandatory event to be compulsorily thrilled by. Rated: 3/5 Apr 17, 2015 Full Review Anupama Chopra Hindustan Times Of course it's played out like a comic book but if you're willing to suspend disbelief there's fun to be had. Rated: 3/5 Apr 17, 2015 Full Review Kaleem Aftab The National (UAE) The 46-year-old Salman Khan is more Sean Connery than Daniel Craig when it comes to playing a spy hero and it's become less plausible to take him seriously as an action star. May 14, 2018 Full Review Rachit Gupta Filmfare This film packs enough Sallu and Kat charisma to make it worth the price of its ticket. Jithin K A Bollywoodized spy romance starring Salman Khan, well you can't expect much more than this from that. Even though I didn't like it the first time a decade ago, people talking about it kinda made me think it was at least average which doesn't seem to be the case. But the music made it well worth it. Even if I could live in a world without this movie, it would've been a very sad world without Mashallah, Saiyaara or Lapata. But what's with the theme music of Tiger? It makes me wanna sing Mai Hoon Don, it sounds like a total ripoff and no one noticed this or am I being dumb? For a Bollywood movie from more than ten years ago, this had a surprising amount of longer action sequences even if the film is not filled with action. I guess this is when that started to get serious here. But post-2000s Salman's wooden face seemed to have helped CGI it into the stunt double's face. A lot has been done in terms of action but it's mostly carbon copies of some scenes from a Hollywood movie made a little bit over the top with so many bad camera angles and editing to hide the stunt double that doesn't really work or the movements just not looking good enough. Even if I wasn't expecting too much action from a 2012 Bollywood movie, I expect them to shoot it a bit more stylishly even if it is little. And what's with the horrible continuity errors throughout the film? So many mistakes, and so many props showing. An empty chair from one side, and the person on the chair when the camera angle changes to the other side. Car door changing into beds etc, so many! Nonetheless, the pacing was perfect in a way that is not too fast but fast enough to see the Bollywood silliness but not be too cringed with it, so it was still kinda fine. So, the film had a nice flow even if most of it was stupid, and the ending with the Mashallah song sequence worked out to make me feel satisfied at the end. So, skip this movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review yash b "Ek Tha Tiger" could have been an okay movie if it had focused more on the goofy action scenes. The movie has some entertaining moments in the beginning and final moments, but the middle sections were a drag for me. I didn't get into the story and kept waiting for something interesting to happen. I also feel the movie takes itself way more seriously than a movie like this should. The story feels oddly juvenile and I feel like it's a strange mishmash of conflicting tones. Overall, it's a mediocre movie that really isn't worth checking out since nothing is particularly memorable about it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Some of the action is good, although the lead actor looks a little too bulky at times to be a secret agent.
