Audience Member Unfunny, unoriginal, and unromantic!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. Rated 1/5 Stars •  Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member The first of the "Jungle Jim" pictures was accurately described at the time by one critic at the time as Tarzan with clothes on. The story in this film isn't as gonzo as some of the later Jungle Jim films and the production value is better than most of the series, but it's still a far cry from "Tarzan and His Mate". Rated 2/5 Stars •  Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member This was the first in a series of films starring former Olympic swimming champion and silver screen Tarzan,Johnny Weissmuller as great white hunter Jungle Jim.The films are based on a King Features comic strip drawn by legendary cartoonist Alex Raymond who also illustrated Flash Gordon,Secret Agent X-9 and Rip Kirby.All of the Jungle Jim flicks are juvenille claptrap.But that's what makes them so much fun.Of note in this particular entry is future television Superman,George(no relation to Steve)Reeves as the villian.And he's rather good at it.As I said this movie,and the others from the series,is fun.
