MC R @RT91491190 Jul 10 Finally got the time to finish an amazing trilogy. I don't know why, but I love Apocalypse movies. The Death Cure is an incredible closure of an amazing trilogy. The story is great, but at times the pacing is slow! The first two movies had better pacing. It's still a captivating story! The cast deliveres again. It was fun that Will Poulter returned after the first one. He's such an great actor. The death of Newt was devestating though. Janson as villain and character was generic and flat. Was not really impressed. I though his comment about chosing what kind of people will get the vaccin interesting. Because there was a hole debate about the end of Last of Us and the action of Joel online. I think that would make sense! But I had fun rewatching The Maze Runner trilogy. To be honest I never red the books so I'm wondering what's the reason that the blood of Thomas is killing the virus and the other immunes just slowing down the virus. Just wondering! While the story grows larger in scale, it never loses sight of the loyalty, sacrifice, and difficult choices facing Thomas and the rest of the Gladers. Dylan O'Brien once again anchors the film, with Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Ki Hong Lee continuing to provide much of the trilogy's emotional heart. The assault on the Last City delivers the biggest action sequences of the series. Wes Ball handles the large-scale spectacle well while still allowing the major character arcs to reach meaningful conclusions. At over two hours, though, the film feels longer than necessary. The intimate mystery and survival elements that made the original so compelling are largely replaced by action and rebellion, and a few emotional moments could have benefited from more development. With this movie, the story was incredibly captivating, with so many twists and turns that I was glued to the screen for the entire time. The Maze Runner series is, without a doubt, my favorite entry into the teen-dystopia genre. While it may seem the "maze" has lost its maze so to speak, it holds true to the original with surprises around every corner. Thomas, (Dylan O'Brien) is amazing once again captavating the audience with true emotional variance and he literally is the glue that holds this maze together 😂.
