Idris Elba makes everything better, even a hackneyed home-invasion thriller modeled from Cape Fear. But not even Elba nor a talent like that of his co-star Taraji P. Henson can rescue No Good Deed from being a dull, poorly structured bore.

Are Taraji and Idris actually bad actors who have just been in good projects? What happened to Luther? This is embarrassing! It's one of those movies where she's allegedly a very intelligent woman who keeps doing super idiotic things and then keeps hitting him 1 time and walking away only for him to get back up immediately over and over again and, SPOILER - that's the whole movie... Never ever occurs to her to hit him twice. One of those. If you like these actors, don't watch this. If you like movies, don't watch this.
