R.L. Shaffer IGN DVD A slick, fast-paced greaser picture that shows off the incredible talent of director Robert Rodriguez. Rated: 8/10 Apr 18, 2012 Full Review Adam Lippe Examiner.com Rodriguez said that he cast Arquette for the "good sleaze factor." Arquette's constant sneer throughout the film proves that Rodriguez was absolutely right. Nov 22, 2011 Full Review Michael Dequina TheMovieReport.com A trifle, but a fun and engaging one at that. Steve D Style over substance but great style. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review kevin c Robert Rodriguez directs this flick set in the fifties which stars David Arquette and Salma Hayek. Arquette plays a rebel who has to navigate the small town obstacles such as the crooked cops and some enemy hoods looking for a fight. The music in this is its own character which really sets the tone and enhances the viewing experience. Fun little flick originally made for TV. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Annoyingly SLOW and disjointed. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty great little greaser throwback. It's an early one in Rodriguez's career, so his frenetic style is really transparent, but it fits this story well. It was a lot of fun. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Suffers from the one thing an action/thriller should never be....dull. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Almost unwatchable. I love the filmmaker as much as I do any, and can barely stomach this one.
