Geoff Pevere Toronto Star The movie's misplaced psychological emphasis is matched by its stubble-scraping visual style. Sep 21, 2001 Full Review Liam Lacey Globe and Mail For a while there, the film has us going. Rated: 2.5/4 Sep 21, 2001 Full Review Edward Guthmann San Francisco Chronicle The story doesn't quite pay off, characters are underwritten and the surprise ending is contrived and unconvincing. Rated: 2/4 Sep 14, 2001 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Flawed but well-acted, arty and creepy supernatural thriller. Rated: B- Jul 15, 2024 Full Review Patrick Cavanaugh The Wolfman Cometh The lo-fi aesthetic make it feel less like a movie and more like a reality show, emphasizing the methodical descent into madness experience by the characters, while the running voiceovers will send chills down your spine. Rated: 5/5 Sep 20, 2023 Full Review Cheryl Eddy io9.com Session 9 leaps from slow-burn unease—you know something is festering, but you can’t quite put your finger on it—to a rapid-fire gorefest in which everything you’ve just seen is thoroughly explained. Jay H One of the best horror movies of the 2000s. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/06/24 Full Review Jésus H. C Tried to hard to seem suspenseful, but ended up putting me to sleep. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/24 Full Review Dean W Very atmospheric with good acting and cinematography Moody music Filmed on a low budget doesn't quite succeed in the end but very creepy and original Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/24 Full Review Aristotle Caruso...lol. He should have stayed on NYPD Blue. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/16/23 Full Review Chrisann M This movie gave me life! The obvious setting of an abandoned insane asylum gave way to the main story and mis-arranged time lines and when you listened, when you really tried to hear what this story was trying to tell you; you could see that this is actually a masterpiece of subtlety and story telling that goes far beyond the usual horror genre and instead asks the viewer to grasp the deeper nuance of just what it means to be afraid.
