The satire in S1m0ne lacks bite, and the plot isn't believable enough to feel relevant.

Simone joins numerous other movies in satirizing the dream factory, but it dares not tell us suckers how we fit into the big picture. Go to Full Review

20 years ago, the premise of "Simone" seemed far-fetched but with the advancements in computer technology, it could prove to be the harbinger of things to come. It might be time for petulant on-camera talent to realize that everyone can be replaced. Go to Full Review

Simone has virtually no satiric edge. Given the present degraded state of the film industry, its subject matter, this is nearly a provocation. Go to Full Review

Daniel S 3d S1m0ne is one of those movies that starts off kinda uneven but ends up hitting you with way more depth than you’d expect. The story follows Victor Taransky, a washed-up director who’s drowning in Hollywood ego, hype, and his own stubborn obsession with "true art." Just when his career is basically on life support, a mysterious guy hands him the ultimate cheat code: a flawless, computer-generated actress named S1m0n3. Overall, S1m0ne hits different if you’re into movies that make you think. It critiques celebrity culture, Hollywood fakery, and the whole fame-obsessed world, but does it in a smart way that doesn’t treat the audience like they’re clueless. Not perfect, not simple, but definitely worth a thoughtful watch. See more Tim M @tgmacman Jan 21 Simone proves thoroughly efficient at providing shrewd sociological commentary, but when it comes to telling a lifelike story, it's nothing but ones and zeros. See more Shioka O 12/22/2022 The plot is kinda silly, but seeing now in 2022 this is funny because it's happening. Another Hollywood satire. I think this was ahead of time. A rare comedic leading role played by Al Pacino. See more Max S 03/21/2022 This Movie isn't great, but I still liked it. The idea of the story is really interesting and way the characters act towards to fake Simone is really funny. But the Movie was a few problems like the cliche Dialouge and the side plots stupid.
