Audience Member good drama this pre-code short features a very young Spenser Tracy at WB B4 landing at MGM Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A short but sweet early glance at Spencer Tracy. Unemployed and seemingly broken of spirit, he takes a pistol and heads for the road, leaving his very scared wife behind. She fears the worst, hearing gunshots, but he returns later, having pawned the gun for food and a toy for his daughter. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This melodrama short was included on the DVD of Little Caesar. It was based on a short stage play. It is filled with obscure "hard-boiled" language to show urban toughness. A young Spencer Tracy stars as a desperate out-of-work father during the Great Depression. A cute toddler and sappy ending make it just a little too saccharine. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Fun little short featuring a very early performance from Spencer Tracey! Cool stuff.
