Audience Member Silly little movie. Fun thing: watch the background when they're arguing in Kelowna at the park. You'll see a Van Houtte van drive by! Haha Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie isn't a masterpiece like some of the other comedies I watched before, such as Charlie Chaplin's "City Lights", or Buster Keaton's "The General", but it has all the features good comedies have, such as great characters, a great main story, and a fun adventure that makes you want to watch the movie again. The Cinematography is, dare I say it, outstanding. I know that isn't much, considering this is a comedy, but I have to bring it up. It has the regular, still camera, a "Paranormal Activity" style mobile camera, and even a documentary style at times. The characters are great. They're funny, relatable, and interesting. You can tell the actors are trying, but having fun with there performance, and I enjoy that. There are some flaws, too, like some moments are predictable, and the main story, though great, seems overused, except with The Loch Ness Monster and Giant Octopuses/Squid. Even with those flaws, I still think this movie is great. Gosh, I don't think someone could hate it even if they tried! Sure, it's flawed, but it's never dull. Even a mindless kid like me can enjoy it. If theres any movie I'd compare it to, it's "The Simpsons Movie". Both the movies have likable characters, they're never boring, and it's impossible not to like either of them. One more thing I'd like to mention, the twist ending is actually quite shocking. You never expect it even though there are subtle clues throughout the movie. Sure, it's not a masterpiece, but the adventure this movie takes you on will make you enjoy the ride the entire way through.
