kevin w Oscar Wilde's story is altered somewhat but the gist of the thing is the same: a dead soul is doomed for eternity unless some living soul can atone for them. Sir John Gielgud (of course) plays the ghost, effortlessly charming and grounding the work, and is the absolute reason to see this. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I remember i loved this film when i was little but i've seen so many different versions of it since, most notably the one with Neve Campbell the most, that i've forgot most of this one. But the story stays the same in them all. It gets 4 stars from me because i loved it when i was between 4-10. I would love to see it again someday. This is one of his best stories he played. I loved this movie just for the story. The special effects are not the best, but it is one of my favorites. I recommend to watch once. Unfortunately it is not out on DVD and the VHS movies are all used if you want to buy it. This movie really needs to be released on DVD.
