Rami A Just another one of those cheesy "rom-coms." Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/11/23 Full Review Samuel P This movie is so freaking terrible. It's not funny (although it's constantly trying to be). It's not deep or meaningful (they tried at the end). It's not a true story (the premise actually happened, but the movie is 100% fabricated). However, the worst part is that it promotes some truly terrible morality. They basically say, "Whatever happens happens, don't try to control yourself, sex addiction is okay, don't try to improve yourself." There's more but you get the idea. This movie needs to be erased from existence. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review Audience Member Though the premise may seem dumb, 'The Late Bloomer' fills the screen with great characters and therefore staggering performances. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Henry G Total garbage! I waisted my time watching that nonsense and I'm here to warn you not to make the same mistake. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/21 Full Review Audience Member The art of making a movie is a hard business, there's no right or wrong or right way to make art, but it may not be received well, unfortunately i think we see this in this movie, the movie was flat, it felt and tasteless , something being tasteless isnt associated with being good, overall it wasn't good nor was it bad, but i dont think i'd recommend it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Really good watch, would watch again, and can recommend. It has a fairly unique and wonderful concept. Being able to step away from sex as a part of life, as he's not part of it, he's basically got a super power, be it a gift or a curse. Launching into him going through puberty late in life is funny enough all on it's own. Throwing in a "in love with the girl next door" trope, and a "my 2 idiot friends", the movie is charged with comedic potential. The cast is all fantastic, and nail their roles. As long as you're okay with sex as a subject, then you're likely going to find this movie enjoyable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Nick Allen RogerEbert.com A movie that wants viewers to fondly laugh about surviving puberty, but is more concerned with horniness than cleverness. Rated: 1/4 Oct 7, 2016 Full Review Neil Genzlinger New York Times To make the premise of a 30-year-old who acts like a 15-year-old work, Mr. Pollak has made everyone else in the film act like a 15-year-old, too. It doesn't quite click. Oct 6, 2016 Full Review Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times Even a talented cast can't overcome the script from five screenwriters, whose uneven final product is surprisingly bland for all its raunchiness. Oct 6, 2016 Full Review Chris Bumbray JoBlo's Movie Network Silly but has its moments. Rated: 6/10 Oct 11, 2016 Full Review David Noh Film Journal International Get this: Our grown adult of a hero has never had an orgasm! Also get this: It ain't funny! Oct 11, 2016 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue The scattered laughs come mostly from the periphery characters, although the pervasive low-brow mentality prevents much emotional resonance.
