The series picks up one year after the events in the final episode of "The Good Wife." After a financial scam destroys the reputation of young lawyer Maia Rindell and wipes out her mentor and godmother Diane Lockhart's savings, the two are forced out of Lockhart & Lee and join forces with Lucca Quinn at one of Chicago's pre-eminent law firms. At Reddick, Boseman & Kolstad, Diane finds familiar faces, including Colin Morrello, who is a rising star in the state's attorney's office, and Marissa Gold. Though starting at the bottom, Diane and Maia are determined to rebuild their careers and lives at the new firm.

Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya AV Club It's far from an ending for this chaotic season, so it makes more sense to consider this as just another middle episode of the series rather than a finale. But even on that front, it fails sort of spectacularly. Rated: C Dec 22, 2020 Full Review Debi Enker The Age (Australia) Sometimes playful and sometimes provocative, The Good Fight, with its adventurous approach, is no ordinary legal drama. Sep 16, 2020 Full Review Alex Abad-Santos Vox Instead of giving us an assured and righteous pledge about brighter days ahead and a future worth fighting for, The Good Fight seems to recognize that at this point, we should maybe just get credit for not hitting Diane's magic mushrooms. May 6, 2020 Full Review Carey-Ann Pawsey Orca Sound The satire is thick in this series. Done in a top notch way though, so it is incredibly entertaining. Rated: 4/5 Dec 28, 2022 Full Review Diane Pershing Malibu Times An excellent spin-off. Oct 2, 2020 Full Review Alberto Carlos Espinof This final episode epitomizes what the series is about: An accurate and brave exploration of the current political and social climate without ever forgetting that it's a series about lawyers. Jake P Honestly one of the worst brainrot television shows. If youre looking for a law show, this series will NOT scratch the itch you would be looking for. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/25 Full Review Audience Member Between 2.5 and 3 stars. First chapter underlines that is dangerous not to be comitted because situation is not extreme, and also the risk to confound our allies with "the good people". However, indirectly, is almost a Trump-advertisement. The rest of season gets too much into paranoia and conspirations. It's not that they don't exist, the problem is most of them happen in front of us, it's just we don't want to look. Some interesting characters or situations disappear (some of them, without explanation) in this new season, and that's a problem. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I couldn't believe that this season had 36% approval when I opened this page - to put 1/5 stars because of how bad and poisoned with politics it was. It just started to establish itself as a standalone show after first seasons, and quickly took a nose dive into nothing. I think the fact that last episodes didn't finish filming only helped it to not die last year. I really don't need a worthless media company to educate me on american social issues. you exist to entertain - so either entertain or get out of the business. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member What was once a lawyer show with some soap opera plot lines has now become mostly a soap opera. This show has lost it's groove. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This really seems less like a story then a platform to discuss political issues in a non nuanced way. It pretends to tackle issues like wealth by bringing up the "great divide" between professional lawyers and multi-millionaires. I'm honestly surprised stuff like that passed by any writer. As it is a political show first and foremost, I think it's fair to say it has a very upper-middle class liberal tone and messaging. It's not subtle messaging either. Now, I'm not a Republican so this doesn't come from a place of hatred, it's just good to know what you're walking into. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting but lacked depth Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
