Chris Barton Los Angeles Times The show delivers decent enough action-movie pacing in a gruff, amoral universe that really wants to be reminiscent of "Training Day" or "The Shield," but with so many one-dimensional characters saddled with leaden dialogue, it falls well short. Mar 8, 2018 Full Review Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media Police gang crime drama has drugs, cursing, violence. Rated: 3/5 Mar 27, 2018 Full Review Jacob Oller Paste Magazine It's a garbled maze of crossed and spliced wires that makes you impressed that someone got the thing to turn on in the first place-and even then, you're afraid to touch anything, lest you electrocute yourself and short out your enjoyment of it. Rated: 7.7/10 Mar 7, 2018 Full Review Merrill Barr Forbes It is almost unwatchable visually...Unfortunately, all that can be said of the show is it's excellent from a story perspective but is in desperate need of a makeover. Audience Member 50 Produced some good shows. I would love to see him do drama without any illegal actions. I bet he still would do good Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member As someone who adores watching police procedurals, I quickly added this one to my list whenever I saw it was out. The storyline is well constructed and definitely has twists that keep you on the edge of your seat until the finale! Ryan & Sean were the only actors whom of which I was familiar with, and both of them did exceptionally well in their roles; not to mention the rest of the wonderful cast. Everyone truly seemed to have a strong bond and it showed on screen through their character development. The finale provided a sense of closure, though it also offered the storyline of the Raven's to be built upon - so whenever I saw that this show had been renewed so quickly, I was ecstatic. The locations that The Oath filmed on were perfect, and from a cinematic standpoint, I really enjoyed the darker aesthetic it gave off whilst watching. Needless to say, I can't wait to see Season 2! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Great show! Crackle has been putting together some good original content. This one is violent but if you don't mind that then this is for you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member ItÂ’s good but it needs to get some work on next season. I wanted to feel like I could relate somehow with the characters or feel like I know them but I couldnÂ’t. If thereÂ’s a next season they should work on that but otherwise its a really good series plus its free to watch. There is potential! #MadeInPuertoRico p.s. continue filming in Puerto Rico Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This show is AmAzing, ive never been more ImPressed by a crime drama since law and order sVu and The oath is 100% in that category!
