I thought Hamm played the lead very well. The show is a bit to indulgent on profanity and sex scenes, so I used VidAngel which I would recommend to cut out the unnecessary smut. But the overall story is very interesting. This one hooked me early and is strong throughout. The ending felt a bit rushed, but it was still satisfactory. This show caricaturizes wealth which makes it entertaining, but also takes away realism. But it was a fun, entertaining watch for sure. Your Friends & Neighbors follows Jon Hamm's character as he struggles to deal with the loss of his job and the end of his marriage by robbing his friends and neighbors to maintain his expensive lifestyle. The caper scenes are a lot of fun, and the writing is generally pretty good. The weakness of the show in my mind is that Jon Hamm's character choses the life of crime over the many more palatable options he has after he is fired. Choosing the criminal activities over the more reasonable options he as at his disposal doesn't seem consistent with his character but is understandable that the showrunners made that choice because it is the premise of the show. In spite of this, I still think the show is a fun romp that many people will enjoy watching, and I am interested to see what happens in season two. Give it a couple of episodes and you will realize how the story, while features Jon Hamm in lead, is actually about so many different characters who are all on their varied arcs and somehow the show has managed to give time to almost all of them in a way that you will start to pick your favorites and follow their travails.
