Classically-trained actor Josh Dallas got his big break playing Prince Charming in popular fantasy drama "Once Upon a Time" (ABC, 2011-18) before taking the leading male role in high-concept mystery "Manifest" (NBC, 2018-). Born in Louisville, KY in 1978, Dallas developed a passion for acting in high school and at the age of 18 earned a scholarship to London's prestigious Mountview Conservatoire for the Performing Arts. Dallas spent the following 11 years in Britain, performing on stage with likes of The English National Opera, The Young Vic and The Royal Shakespeare Company. He made his screen debut guesting on SAS action drama "Ultimate Force" (ITV, 2002-08), and went on to cameo in the "Silence in the Library" episode of "Doctor Who" (BBC One, 1963-), play ill-fated pothead Lloyd in German-made thriller "80 Minutes" (2008) and provide the voice of Bragg in British sci-fi "Ghost Machine" (2009). He also starred as an ex-con who pursues a career in the ring in "The Boxer" (2009), enjoyed a minor role in TV movie "The Last Days of Lehman Brothers" (2009) and appeared as self-sacrificing spelunker Greg in cave-dwelling horror sequel "The Descent: Part 2" (2009). After portraying Christian actor Spunk Davis in Martin Amis adaptation "Money" (BBC One, 2010), Dallas returned to the States where he guested as Kono's childhood sweetheart on "Hawaii Five-O" (CBS, 2010-) and a bomb squad member on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (CBS, 2000-2015), and appeared as Henry in the breast cancer-themed anthology drama "Five" (2011). Dallas achieved his US breakthrough when he landed the role of David Nolan, aka Prince Charming, in the fairytale reimagining which also starred his future wife, Ginnifer Goodwin, "Once Upon a Time" (ABC, 2011-18). During his seven-year stint on the show, Dallas was also cast as a last-minute replacement for Stuart Townsend to play swashbuckler Fandral in comic book blockbuster "Thor" (2011), enjoyed a minor role in WWII drama "Red Tails" (2012) and voiced Frantic Pig in the Oscar-nominated animation "Zootopia" (2016). Dallas then bagged his second major recurring role when he was chosen to play Ben Stone, an intelligence analyst traveling on a flight which returns five years after being presumed lost at sea, in "Manifest" (NBC, 2018-).
