Susan Park first gained notice on television as Stacey Kim, the sweet yet unattainable love interest of First Son Skip Gilchrist (Josh Gad) on the family comedy "1600 Penn" (NBC 2013). As a mailroom clerk at the White House, she became entangled in the many antics of the dysfunctional first family. In this first major recurring role, Park appeared alongside industry veterans such as Jenna Elfman and Bill Pullman. Born to Korean immigrant parents, Park had to get creative when it came to convincing her family to pursue the creative arts. While her mother thought she was applying for advanced math and science programs, Park was pursuing a performing arts magnet program in high school and then later applied to only acting schools. After graduating, Park appeared in a few independent shorts then landed a small recurring role on the cop dramedy "The Unusuals" (ABC 2009) as medical examiner Dr. Monica Crumb. While it only lasted a season, the series deviated from the usual cop procedural drama trappings, and featured an A-list cast with Amber Tamblyn and Jeremy Renner as NYPD detectives. Park continued to work steadily in television, making guest appearances in "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (CBS 2000-), "Three Rivers" (CBS 2009-2010), and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" (FX 2005-). After "1600 Penn" was canceled, she guest starred in season two of the cult-favorite drama, "Revenge" (ABC 2011-). During this era, Park also got to flex her comedy muscles on stage, starring in the one-woman play "Diaries of a K-Town Dive" in Los Angeles in 2010, and writing her own short videos for the web.
