11/23/2008 this documentary won a well-deserved nomination for an academy award in 1998. it is about american choreographer paul taylor as he creates a new work to astor piazzolla's tangos. the film also provides profiles on many of his dancers, including patrick corbin and lisa viola. See more 12/07/2007 I am not a big fan of modern dance, but this documentary is interesting nonetheless. Paul Taylor's arrogance can be an irritant. There are some very creative dance scenes and the dancers interviews are very interesting. You can truly say you've seen the best of the best after seeing this movie. See more 06/11/2007 Paul Taylor is talented. He also seems like a nightmare to work for. The chronicle of how he created "Piazolla Caldera" - one of his best works - is a fascinating look at the artistic process, and the workings of a modern dance troupe. All the dancers acquit themselves well as thoughtful, articulate people who can do punishing things in the name of art and entertainment. Thoroughly engrossing.
