Critics Consensus

Loud, incoherent, and aimless, Money Train reunites Snipes and Harrelson -- and proves that starring duos are far from immune to the law of diminishing returns.

Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/24/24 Full Review Alan g A disgrace. Cops becoming robbers is an insult and the acting adds more insult to an already bad movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/17/24 Full Review odd o This movie is a classic, absolutely love to watch this movie for nostalgia. Wesley snipes was a star around this era and woody. Jennifer Lopez looking 👌. The movie is great and a must see imo. Classic Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/16/24 Full Review Red T It's a complete mess but fun at and brainless at times also. The end train chase is cool and fun to watch but its farfetched and over the top. The editing is terrible. This is so unfocused, meandering, and its tone is all over the place. I can't tell you if this is a buddy cop movie, a heist thriller, or a comedy and I don't think this knows either. It just jumps around constantly between the romance, the train heist, being cops and stopping crime, the gambling subplot, it never makes sense. The acting isn't good either. Robert Blake is so over the top and evil as the Train Manager hes almost like a cartoon villian mixed with a 007 villian that its ridiculous for no reason whatsoever. Jennifer Lopez's character feels pointless and so does the romance. Woody & Wes are idiots and their motivations make no sense ahlf the time. How the heck did they become cops is beyond me. The comedy is so unneeded and goes on way too long in so many scenes. This leads to terrible pacing and subpar cinematography as this is filled with pointless and fafetched scenes nonstop. It's just dumb nonsense that is occasionally fun if you don't think about it particulary the ending. I can't really recommend this to anyone even die hard fans of any actors in this because of how ridiculous it is.
