Mary S Oversteps mass killing with bodies dropping left and right. Too much vengeance for so few wounds on the heroes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/24/24 Full Review Mike K One of the top five westerns of all time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Nol P Quick, short and sweet movie reviews... There is this range which was very OPEN! Some good acting took place and things transpired... 7.5 out of 10! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/24 Full Review matthias s "Open Range" is a wild west adventure that left me feeling a little lukewarm. While I'm not the biggest fan of westerns, I decided to give this one a shot. The film had its moments, and I must admit I did enjoy the romance subplot - it added a nice touch to the otherwise predictable and thin plot. However, my patience was tested by the extremely slow pacing. This movie dragged on for what felt like an eternity, and I couldn't help but check the time a few times. A film like this could've easily been condensed into a more digestible 90-minute duration. Michael Gambon's performance as the villain was a standout, bringing some much-needed depth to the story. Despite its flaws, "Open Range" managed to keep my interest, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. If you're a die-hard western fan, you might appreciate it more, but for me, it fell short of being a truly engaging experience. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/15/23 Full Review klr d The best Western since Unforgiven, which was the best Western in decades. Duvall gives one of his best performances, which means it was damned special. Not a masterpiece, but beautifully made, well acted, and the gun fight scenes seem the most authentic in film history. Quite a movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/22/23 Full Review Pickatcu 1 Boring and didn't even remind me of the western charisma... maybe this movie could be an Oscar winner...I wouldn't be surprised to see it there Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
