      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Wasting the talents of an impressive cast on a predictable mystery, Red Lights lacks the clairvoyance to know what audiences want.

BowTangey M Surely with a cast like this a better film could have been made. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review Tim T That was some bad storytelling… The ending was way too vague. A blind psychic should be able to catch anything thrown at them. The dialogue was weak and ambiguous. I suspect something ended up on the cutting room floor that shouldn't have been cut. It wasn't clear who was doing what and why. Exposing the fraud should have been clear and there should have been shock and outrage from the crowd. There should have been more foreshadowing and cleaver insights… It was a very weak ending. The actors did good with what they had, but the ending destroyed the story. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/10/24 Full Review Julia S Solid Movie, don't get the bad Reviews. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review Christian T A good movie for people looking for something different, a small group of debunkers have to try and prove fellow colleagues wrong that psychics don't exist. An all star cast and a good storyline makes red lights a must see Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/24 Full Review Heidi M The writing made about as much sense as a fever dream. Such a waste of a talented cast. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/27/23 Full Review Yani A The ending make me shocked. I didn't expected that. Nick Schager Paste Magazine The fact that Red Lights' action doesn't operate in a recognizable universe, however, is a constant problem. Rated: 6.1/10 Aug 16, 2012 Full Review Bruce DeMara Toronto Star A clever thriller, bolstered by three great performances. Rated: 3.5/4 Aug 10, 2012 Full Review Adam Litovitz Globe and Mail The film doesn't offer the sense of release, or of surprise, that it seems to take for granted. Aug 10, 2012 Full Review Patrick Cavanaugh The Wolfman Cometh Might not have been the straightforward horror movie many audiences were expecting, with the material being elevated tremendously thanks to the impressive cast. Rated: 4/5 Sep 20, 2023 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review All of the actors in this impressive cast deserve better than the cornball paranormal yarn they’re ultimately a part of. Rated: 1.5/4 Sep 23, 2022 Full Review Josh Long Battleship Pretension In all, there are some entertaining moments, some well-directed suspense sequences, and some interesting questions about perception. But when it comes to the details of the story - I'm not falling for it. Mar 10, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
