Set in the sweltering heat of Atlanta, Anna lives in haunting reclusivity, fading away from her friends and career as a news anchor. But when she overhears about a murder in Dahlonega – the sleepy town where she grew up – Anna is snapped back to life, pouncing on the case and searching for answers. Detective Jack Harper is strangely suspicious of her involvement, chasing her into the crosshairs of his own investigation. There are two sides to every story: HIS & HERS, which means someone is always lying.

At one point in an episode I actually googled to see if this was a comedy. Corny script. Laughable plot and no regard for realistic police procedures. It would have at least been entertaining, despite the plot holes and ludicrous twists, if the main characters were at all likeable. But they are HORRIBLE people. He is brash, antagonistic, and unbelievably stupid (at one point someone tries to tell him a crucial clue and he just walks away). She is manipulative, antagonistic, and an egomaniac. By episode 2 you are really hoping it doesn't end well for them, yet the show seems to expect you to be rooting for them. Except for 2 or 3 people, everyone in the show is aggressive and nasty - it feels a bit like an attempt at LA Noir style characters with none of the skill in characterisation to pull it off.
