Audience Member It was pretty boring...Did not even care how it ended. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Cast: Diane Keaton, Sam Shepard, Diane Lane, Robert Patrick, Tate Donovan, Sharon Lawrence, Stacey Travis, Brad Leland Director: Peter Masterson Summary: Timing is everything -- and it's never right for clothing store owner Reece McHenry (Sam Shepard) and widowed seamstress Carol Fitzsimmons (Diane Keaton) as circumstances conspire to keep them apart despite a love that spans three decades. Meanwhile, Carol's daughter (Diane Lane) and Reece's son (Robert Patrick) begin an affair of their own that provides a disquieting mirror for their parents in this bittersweet drama. My Thoughts: "This is probably a movie for an older crowed or for those who don't mind not having young folk in their films. It's a bitter sweet love story that takes place in this film. Everytime they come together they let the other slip away. It's a great lesson in love and that it's never too late. I love Diane Keaton and Sam Shepard in this movie. They just have great chemistry together. The story is slow, but I liked it's pace. This is a movie you have to be in the mood for. Those who like romance films and love stories will be sure to enjoy this film." Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member a really great movie with a great story line. loved it!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Sad...too close to home... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member this movie is so dismally boring, it made me angry and upset to have to sit through it. awful is not good enough to explain it. i could not summon up any appreciation for it or any single character. i had to sit thru it bec my b/f was watching it. it's like living inside a heroin addict's thought process, slow, slow death. please make it stop. blech, ugh, feh. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member The fruits of "On Demand" is the ability to watch (or to be exposed to) movies you wouldn't normally see. There is ONE true love of your life the film is saying--don't fudge around and waste years and decades denying your feelings. Sam Shepard plays a role of a man in the same position he was in CRIMES OF THE HEART with unrequited love for someone departing and returning to his life. DIANE KEATON IS ALWAYS a spry and engaging energetic wonder of an actress. It just goes to show you; if you have a movie on your mind, make it because--even ten years after its release--someone will see it and enjoy it.
