William Thomas Empire Magazine Still meticulous, electrifying and the handsomest show on TV. Rated: 5/5 Oct 30, 2017 Full Review TIME Magazine Mad Men is about the gulf between image and reality, in advertising, in its characters' lives and in 1963 America. Aug 16, 2009 Full Review Robert Bianco USA Today What happens to all involved, you should discover for yourself, and it is well worth discovering. Rated: A Oct 27, 2021 Full Review Adam Sweeting The Arts Desk What the show accomplishes mesmerisingly well is rooting itself in a finely textured network of character and circumstance, then shooting out flares which illuminate the social turbulence of the early Sixties. Sep 25, 2020 Full Review Angela Burnett Pajiba This is the rub with "Mad Men," it's possible its imperfections are what make it worthwhile. Jun 15, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Benjamin H There are a few details that could have been presented slightly better, but Mad Men season 3 continues to deliver intelligent, multifaceted and to the point television that manages to uphold its witty nature and great character interplay while its writing and acting remains in top shape. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/25 Full Review Teej M Really hitting stride now Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/03/24 Full Review Peacemaker Excellent TV series. Thoroughly engaging and one of the best TV shows I have ever seen. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/02/23 Full Review DMC M Starting to get more interesting - does anyone get lung cancer in this series? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/19/23 Full Review WendyLSchmidt P I checked it out because it got such rave reviews. It's well-written with lovely period clothes and mid-century modern sets. But just a few episodes in I saw how it deftly hides its dark underbelly behind the same witty repartee, beautifully crafted clothes, and lovely mid-century modern sets. Even as it depicts rampant sexism, the show sides with the men. The men get off scot-free while the women are subjected to repeated humiliation and misfortune, which is invariably attributed to their own flaws and poor choices. Any older white man admiring this show a little too much needs to be challenged as to why. The show sets back the clock when few if any white men were challenged. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/05/23 Full Review randy k Show writers attempt to show the evolution of 1960s attitudes and beliefs without imposing present day audiences tastes, prejudices, and attitudes on the characters or plot. A truly revolutionary and enlightened concept that produces superior insight and entertainment value. This type of conceptual thinking is sorely missing in HBO series.
