As it stands, “The Sisters Grimm” is charming children’s entertainment. Although it may not be enough to appeal to parents, it is a solid diversion for families seeking a new all-ages show for the fall. Go to Full Review

The writing enchants and amuses at every turn. This is a contemporary story full of modern sensibilities but built on a foundational knowledge of all those who emerge from the deep, dark woods. Go to Full Review

i e Nov 29 I read all the books when I was a child. I not only loved these books because of it's connections to the brothers Grimm, but because I come from a German family. Now about the TV show. It's a beautiful 2D fairytale ISH art style. And honestly just a great watch, I just wish that they kept " grandma" as omi /oma. She uses German words such as Liebe, and talk about how she is from Germany, but won't be called omi / oma. It felt kinda like a slap in the face because this was one of the story's that helped make me more proud in my personal family heritage. I hope that my own disappointments with the show don't deter you from watching a masterpiece. See more Jasmine V Nov 23 These books were my whole childhood, I’m so so happy to see it made into an animation ! I wanted a show for so long. Even though I’m into my early adult years now this show brought back so much nostalgia and whimsy ! Its animation style is very fresh and the voice actors were great. Seeing the story come to life with all the little jokes and funny moments I remember from the book, all the adventure and the build up to what truly lies behind the scarlet hand ! I really hope there is a S2 for book 2 and I’m secretly hoping we get one season for each one of the 9 books ! So so happy to see this story return and create magic for all the children growing up now as well as all of us who could remember the way the characters and story shaped our childhoods. It's perfect for a Children's Literature adaptation. This animation is beyond perfect, and it evokes Gravity Falls and Hilda vibes through its environment and animation style. Tiltmouse did a great job in this. It's a must-see!!! I highly recommend watching this series. See more Tygari D Oct 7 Wonderful story to a charming and imagative cartoon.
